Charleston and a Pink Water Fountain
Yesterday was a beautiful day to drive to Charleston to see the 14th Annual American Impressionist Society (AIS) National Juried Exhibition hosted by the M Gallery. The exhibition is scheduled to run from September 28 to October 30 in the gallery at 125 Meeting Street. This collection of paintings from talented artists across the country is time well spent.
Here are a few photos of paintings in the exhibit.
John Michael Carter, “By the Window” winner of the William J Schultz award for oils.
Paula Holtzclaw, "The Point at Dusk" represented in Pawleys Island, SC by Cheryl Newby Gallery.
After visiting M Gallery we walked down Queen street towards Waterfront Park. As the park came into focus we saw the fountain water was pink. We thought this must be in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness but not sure. Can anyone confirm our thoughts? Very pretty nonetheless.
Waterfront Park is located at 1 Vendue and a favorite of visitors and locals, offering fantastic views of Charleston harbor and yesterday sailboats were abundant.
Thank you for visiting Charleston with me,
